Todd Stogner: Natural global warming is a good thing. Everything grows better and has a easier life in a warmer climate. The BP oil spill is just a blip on the environment. Natural microbes have already eaten most of the spilled oil. Pollution levels have dropped dramatically from what they were in the 1960's. Except in China. What good is that there is very little wrong with the environment so enjoy it.
Jeannine Vassie: The human race is extremely fortunate to have the environment we have. It's a very forgiving environment, difficult to upset and quick to repair the scars and injuries mankind imposes on it. The environment gave us the coal, oil and gas we use today, it gives us the plant and animal life we feed on, and it provides a hugely diverse range of climate, geography, and geology to nurture mankind's intelligence.BP was hit by the sledgehammer of USA wrath when one of their oil rigs exploded, but they didn't dodge their responsibilities and as a result the ! environmental damage done has been considerably less than it might have been. When the Bhopal Plant in India exploded Union Carbide backed off leaving only time and nature to repair the damage, and when 10 million tons of bombs were dropped on Laos during the Viet Nam war, the USA claimed it their right to devastate the environment leaving time, nature, and the survivors to clear up the mess....Show more
Davina Shindler: Nothing really heh, man is the Earth's worst enemy. We kill animals for fun and not for food, we spread animals to different places and they become pests (the cane toad to Australia), we destroy animal land to make way for our agriculture (grazing land for cattle), we pollute and we are going to cause our own entextion along with many, many other animals. Hope this helps :)
Bob Pucella: The good of the environment is not pollution for bp oil.and plant tree .
Alphonso Brake: In the USA, since the 1950 we have had lots of success in the envi! ronmental movement. The clean air and water acts and their sub! sequent revisions were both HUGE successes. Regulations on forestry practices have reduced landslides and actually increased long term harvest quotas. Regulations and best management practices on farming have reduced run off of agricultural byproducts into streams, river, lakes (still a problem in Florida). Because of the BP spill there will be changes to who is put in charge of monitoring oil company practices. Things have to get worse before they ever get better.Unfortunately the whole Global warming conspiracy may have set the movement back a decade and lost it any credibility it had built over the years. AGW was an overreaction and I'm sure there will be on overreaction to that overreaction etc....Show more
Charline Granes: What's good about our environment? -We've reduced the number of those pesky species competing for habitat. Just think, if we kill off most large mammals, it will leave more space for humans!
