Cliff Jacoby: Are you trying out for the freshman team?
Hermina Ketring: Well the first few weeks you'll probably do nothing but run then, when it's legal, you'll probably start to hit a little then start fielding. What you need to do is run, a lot,do sprints and long running. Also do some speed drills and practice your rough spots, whether it's hitting, fielding, or w/e; and know your spot. If you play multiple spots, then practice them all. GOOD LUCK :)!
Soraya Coodey: Conditioning is different for every school and every team. As for my school, we usually do a lot of sprinting, since softball does not require any real distance running. Also, a lot of balance and endurance drills (stretching and stuff) and drills like glove side, back hands, look-in's etc. not a lot of hitting or anything because our's in usually inside. As for diet, you don't need to be super super strict just keep it on the healthy side. Hope this helps you & good luck!
August Hub! bard: every school has different ways of conditioning.the way my school and travel team do it is we start out with running long distance for endurance and do sprints for getting faster around the bases. this year we started lifting. do a lot of flexibility things too.some specific things i do are:butt kickshigh kneesfrankinsteinscherry pickersfrog jumps.etc. ...Show more
