Do you think my car will make it through this roadtrip?

Lanita Reichman: You will not make it, you're car will not be able to handle the heat, and if you're car breaks down and you're in the deserts, be prepared to wait 5 hours for a tow truck. I say you rent a car for the week and you'll be better off with that.

Catheryn Small: I would think it would be OK. Just find a good mechanic that you trust and take it to him/her and have it checked really good before the trip. 100k is not that many miles on a rebuilt Toyota engine and it sounds like you have taken good care of it. When are you planning on taking this trip? I probably would not do it during the months of July or August because of the extreme heat.I would also get a AAA membership before you go. I love AAA. It's not expensive at all and I've used it many times for towing, jumping, gas, etc. It's well worth it!!Good luck...Show more
