how are relationships complex?

Christopher Calcano: They should be simple, really. The only complex thing is simply making them work.

Lanita Reichman: FEELINGS are complex, hence relationships are complex because they involve FEELINGS.Oh yea you can say it's simple...Person likes other person, the other person reciprocates, as long as they have communication an stay with that one person relationship works. But alas no....if it wasn't complex then there wouldn't be open marriages.....common-law marriages, friends with benefits, monogamous relationship, bisexual relationships, we're friends but we dont' have sex but we kiss and cuddle and on saturday we're bf/gf but the rest of the week we're friends relationships....all this amalgam of relationships is proof alone of its complexity.THEN you actually get into the meaty details of it. The jealousy, insecurity, demands, is his d'ck big enough? I want more sex than she does; I want him to cuddle with me more; why doesn't he talk to me; i don' know ho! w he feels why is he happy one day and angry the next; blah blah blah.THEN..you throw children into the mix? Holy crap then you have a damn 40 page algorithim to solve. When you involve two folks to maintain a lifestyle TOGETHER, given both people are different in personality, lifestyle, upbringing, and even appearance (race, nationality), you deepen the complexity of a relationship. Otherwise if there was a standard recipe or everyone was relatively the same....you wouldn't consider it complex.my 2 cents....Show more

Chi Alfero: Morales, values, beliefs, standards, expectations, personality clashes, underlying fundamental issues.....need I go on? We are complex creatures....nothing we do is without effort.

Dawn Saha: People make relationships complex.

Fermin Tara: the only complexity is not having mutual understanding and good communication

Jed Porada: complex with theres one of you and two of them and you have to decide and are kinda dating both..! .thats my life. thats complex
